Yes, when your child pays using their HyperJar card at an online checkout, they will get a prompt to open their HyperJar app and verify the payment. They will also see a text message from us saying ‘Approval needed’.
Open the app or tap the message. They will see a screen showing the amount of the payment and the retailer, with options to Approve or Decline.
Tap Approve to okay the payment and they will see their spend has now been authorised at the retailer’s online checkout.
In the unlikely event your child gets an ‘Approval needed’ message from us and they haven’t used their card to spend, please decline the payment and freeze the card from the Account screen in the app straight away. Then the Parent/Guardian will need to contact us via Live Chat or email email@example.com or via WhatsApp.
