Young people definitely learn by doing, as these first memories and experiences tend to stick with us and shape how we view the world and make us who we are. When it comes to financials, luckily the stakes are pretty low when you are young as you are usually living off of a monitored allowance.
Do you believe in letting your children make their own money management decisions and feel the consequences of those?
Tell us a story about how you let your Kids learn about money the hard way. What lesson did they learn?
I know when I was a kid I spent my entire allowance on candy one afternoon but that meant I had none left to buy my Spice Girls photo pack (anyone remember those?) - absolutely heartbreaking to me then lol! Not to mention, I was also left with a terrible bellyache haha been converted to chocolates ever since.
