Is there a way to avoid the new transfer charges?

Yes, very easily! If you’re used to making little-and-often loads into your HyperJar account from a bank, space them out into fewer but larger amounts. For example, if you typically load £5 a week to your account to save up for something or to give as pocket money, switch to £10 every two weeks and you won’t be charged a penny.

We allow 10 x free loads into the account each calendar month, only one of which can be for less than £10. And customers get four free transfers back to their bank from a HyperJar account. Instead of transferring money out, try using your HyperJar card to spend – it’s accepted everywhere that takes Mastercard (that’s pretty much anywhere you can think of) - or just keep to the allowance of four. If you stick to the limits there'll be no charges at all.
