Why do you charge for cards?

From 18th February 2025 we will charge £4.99 for physical adult cards. Virtual adult cards, which are available as soon as a new account is opened, remain free. The card charge is a contribution towards the costs we incur for producing and shipping physical cards.

The good news is that all HyperJar accounts are assigned a virtual adult card as soon as they’re opened, which can be added to Apple Pay or Google Pay and used both online and instore anywhere that Apple Pay or Google Pay is accepted. If you want to save money and do your bit for the planet, stick to a virtual adult card.

Kids cards remain £4.99 to order, although we will no longer be adding a £5 Amazon voucher to a parent’s account when they order a kid’s card (from 18th February 2025).
